Focused expert help when you need it

Sometimes you don't need someone to build a system for you.

You need someone who understands AI, business workflows, automation, and today's tools to help you think through a problem and figure out the smartest next move.

That's what AI Consulting is for.

We can look at what's happening in your business, explore your options, work through the tradeoffs, and turn an unclear problem or idea into a practical direction.

Is AI Consulting right for you?

AI Consulting may be a good fit if:

  • You have a specific AI question, workflow, business problem, or opportunity you want to think through.
  • You need help understanding the available options and tradeoffs.
  • You want an expert recommendation before investing in a tool or project.
  • You want a practical plan for what should happen next.
  • You need focused advisory help rather than an ongoing or done-for-you service.

You don't need to know the answer before we talk. That's the point of consulting.

Who I work best with

AI Consulting is designed primarily for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and independent professionals who want practical expert guidance about using AI in their work.

At this time, I work only with clients based in the United States. AI laws and regulations vary widely from country to country, so I am keeping this service focused on U.S.-based businesses.

This may include:

  • Professional and creative services

    • Consultants, coaches, and course creators
    • Marketing, creative, and digital service businesses
  • Local and service businesses

    • Local and home-service businesses
    • Hospitality and event businesses
  • Online and product businesses

    • Retail and e-commerce businesses
  • Creators and educators

    • Creators, publishers, and media businesses
  • Other small businesses looking to improve marketing, sales, customer service, content, research, administrative tasks, or internal workflows

Projects outside the scope of this service

To keep the work focused and responsible, I do not currently take on projects that:

  • Require HIPAA compliance or involve protected health information
  • Use AI to make or materially influence hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions
  • Involve credit, lending, underwriting, or financial-eligibility decisions
  • Involve tenant screening, housing eligibility, or other housing-access decisions
  • Involve insurance underwriting, pricing, eligibility, or claims decisions
  • Require specialized regulatory-compliance, legal, cybersecurity, or data-governance engineering

If you are uncertain whether your project is a fit, we can discuss it during the introductory conversation.

What we can work on together

  • Understand a business problem and whether AI could help
  • Analyze an existing workflow
  • Identify where AI could make a process better
  • Choose between AI tools, apps, or different approaches
  • Evaluate an AI or automation idea before investing in it
  • Figure out how an automation or AI system should work
  • Troubleshoot why an existing AI workflow isn't working well
  • Design a better workflow or process
  • Decide which AI solution makes the most sense
  • Create a practical implementation plan or roadmap
  • Review something the client or team already built
  • Get a professional second opinion
  • Understand the pros, cons, costs, or tradeoffs of different options
  • Figure out the next step

You don't need to know the answer before we talk. That's the point of consulting.

What AI Consulting does not include

AI Consulting is an advisory service.

We may look at your tools, workflows, settings, or existing systems together so I can understand the situation and give you useful guidance.

But the consulting engagement itself does not include taking ownership of a custom implementation project and building the finished solution for you.

If you decide you want the recommended solution actually designed, configured, built, connected, tested, and implemented, that work falls under Custom AI & Automation Implementation.

How it works

  1. Tell me what you're trying to solve

We'll start with the problem, opportunity, workflow, or decision you're dealing with.

  2. Understand what's happening now

We'll look at how things currently work and what's getting in the way.

  3. Explore the options

I'll help you understand the practical approaches available, including the advantages, disadvantages, and tradeoffs.

  4. Decide on the best direction

We'll narrow it down to the approach that makes the most sense for your business.

  5. Leave with clear next steps

You'll know what I recommend, why I recommend it, and what should happen next.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know which AI tool I want to use?

No. Choosing the right tool or approach can be part of the consulting work.

Is AI Consulting only for strategy?

Not necessarily. It can include workflow analysis, problem-solving, reviewing your existing tools or systems, troubleshooting, and developing practical recommendations. The difference is that I'm advising you on what should be done rather than taking on a custom implementation project and building it for you.

Can you review something we've already built?

Yes. I can review an existing workflow, automation, AI setup, or approach and help you identify what could be improved.

Can you help us decide whether an AI project is worth doing?

Yes. We can look at the problem, potential value, complexity, options, and tradeoffs before you invest in implementation.

What happens if we decide we want you to build the solution?

If the work requires a custom solution to be designed and implemented for you, we'll scope it separately under Custom AI & Automation Implementation.

What if I'm not sure whether I need Consulting or Custom Implementation?

You don't have to figure that out yourself. Start with a conversation and I'll help you determine the right next step.

Can you work with tools I already use?

Yes. Reviewing the tools and workflows you already use can help us understand the situation and decide whether anything should change.

What should I prepare before the introductory conversation?

Bring a clear description of the problem, the outcome you want, and any tools or workflows currently involved. You do not need to have the solution figured out.
